I have decided to revive atleast this online journal since I still have awhile until I will officially have time to revive Real Japan, my long time personal site.

Already been in Japan for eight to nine months. Went through two internships, one long semester of my junior year and on a really short new one right now. Check out http://www.realjapan.net for journal entries. No more journal entries will be posted on this live journal.

1. Finish UPS Sophmore year with descent grades (hopefully).
2. Go to Vancouver with friend to celebrate all kinds of things (life, birthday, last time together before I leave for Japan/LA).
3. Clean room, pack/prepare for Dallas/LA/Japan.
4. Arrive in Dallas and prepare for Road Trip to LA and start research for Okinawa, Hokkaido and Asia Trip during stay in Japan and after.
5. Go to Austin for a practice road trip.
6. Go on road trip from Dallas/Plano to LA
7. Attend UCLA for 6 weeks [also start research/buy books for Asia Trip]
8. Drive home from LA to Dallas w/ mom
9. Leave for Japan for year on August 22nd, 2002.
Right now:
10. Figure out what to do in life after graduation.
. . . It's been awhile since I edited this and the REAL now is that I am working at an online marketing company in Osaka and moving to Tokyo on December 30th!

alisa in a nutshell (before): indie and foreign music and films, hang out at bookstores, in either the travel, magazine, gender or race, new in paperback and hardback section, eating out and trying the weirdest thing on the menu and never ordering the same thing, hanging out at city parks with a book or journal, walking around in the city, or just people watching at a restaurant or cafe, addicted to picking up weeklies, free magazines, and flyers from every city, and sometimes decorating my walls with them, love to do extensive travel research before trips, and absolutely paranoid about getting the perfect guide book for every important trip, absolutely adore grocery and drugstore shopping in every city, especially hippie/yuppie grocery stores where you can find fun new interesting food and products, and sampling cds off of amazon.com, downloading the mp3s and burning them to make kick ass compilation cds! aren't I fabulous. that's me in a nutshell. p.s. my life goal is to travel the world and write about it

. . . I guess I haven't changed much since I wrote the above discription except I don't think of it all as exceptionally amazing or noteworthy hah. I guess I was young and stupid when I wrote that and thought I was special or something.

alisa right now in a nutshell: Thinking about living in Japan after graduation. Maybe go to grad school in Tokyo? I've been in Osaka for half a year I think (?) and moving to Tokyo on Dec. 30th. Working at a homey rad online marketing startup and times are great.
